Spinal Structural Rehabilitation
Structural Rehabilitation requires a team approach, usually consisting of a chiropractor, physical therapist, and supporting providers. Special rehabilitative equipment is required in most cases.
Spinal structural rehabilitation is comfortable, and results in long-lasting pain relief early in the treatment process.
Spinal structural rehabilitation is usually performed in instances where the structure of the spine was distorted due to injuries, such as in
reversed cervical curve syndrome, and many cases of
scoliosis. Restoring the spine to its normal structure is extremely important in order to prevent future serious problems, such as
degeneration,
spinal arthritis, and
disc herniations, which are commonly caused by unbalanced forces on the structures.
Spinal structural rehabilitation is also a common treatment for children and adolescents with
scoliosis, as it is much safer than surgery.
